[edit] About Us
Melbourne University Hooked is a University student club in Melbourne, Victoria. We run campaigns and events addressing issues such as the exploitation of workers in developing countries and the Fair Trade alternative.
We also seek to increase the availability of Fairtrade certified products by working with uni departments and cafes on campus as well as running our own market stall in the Union markets on Mondays 12-2pm in North Court.
Our aim is to generate greater awareness amongst the student body of trade- and consumption-related issues and the ways in which individuals can make changes in their consumption patterns to positively change the standard of living experienced in developing countries.
Our constitution is available for viewing here.
See below to join our email list.

[edit] Meetings
We meet every Monday at 1pm in Union House. The room is not necessarily the same each week, but is likely to be Joe Napolitana A or B, or Mary Cook A or B (both of which are upstairs in Union House, almost directly above the enviro office and the food co-op)
We are currently working on a project which focuses on labour rights, in collaboration with the Human Rights Arts and Film Festival (http://www.hraff.org.au)
All are welcome at our meetings, members or otherwise. We aim to spend our meeting times discussing pertinent issues, working on projects, and generally catching up. .
Alternatively, if you are unable to come to the meetings, we encourage you to join our email list (see below) to keep up to date on what's happening. You can still get involved in our projects or our market stall even if our meeting times don't work well for you.
